Network Inventory Monitor allows you to see the available hardware and software resources on remote computers, as well as other information. The program comes with a built-in network scanner, so you can audit the computer on your network, without missing anything. Network Inventory Monitor is designed with ease of use in mind, so you won't encounter any kind of difficulties when using it.

The software is free to try, without any significant limitations. You can use it on any modern Windows versions, without any problems. It doesn't ask for any special tools or services and its hardware requirements are modest.

The layout of the user interface is quite efficient. The details that may interest you and the necessary controls to sift through them are well organized and easy to spot. Hosts on your network are listed on the left half of the user interface and you can view a huge amount of information about a selected host on several tabs, on the right half.

Hosts can be added to the list one by one, by specifying their names or IPs on a small window, but you can opt for other methods as well. The software allows you to add multiple computers from your network, by specifying an IP range, but the easiest solution is to simply click a button on a toolbar and let the program scan your network. While scanning, any machine it finds on your network will be added to the list automatically.

When you select a host, you will find basic details about the system's configuration, installed software, running processes, as well as a screenshot of its desktop. The screenshot can be set to full screen mode, if you need to take a closer look and it is also possible to save the image. The provided details can be copied to the clipboard individually, but you can also copy all information about a computer in one run.

Pros

The software can retrieve almost any information about remote hosts. It gives you several methods of adding new hosts to your list. The user interface has an efficient layout and its controls are very easy to understand.

Cons

You need to make some configurations on your remote computers, if you wish to retrieve any information. Thanks to Network Inventory Monitor, you will never have to get up from your computer if you wish to know something about a workstation on your network.
